Things to do in Forrest
Located just 30 minutes from the Great Ocean Road, Forrest is famous as the gateway to the Otway Ranges – and our town is proud to live up to its name. Take in stunning scenery with a huge range of hiking and bush walking trails through gorgeous natural landscapes – and many trails are also dog-friendly, so you can bring your best friend along with you.
Kids and adults alike will love the chance to catch a glimpse of the local wildlife – you might see koalas, rosellas, king parrots, cockatoos, echidnas, platypus, possums, kangaroos and wallabies!
As well as self-guided rail trail walking tours, special fungi tours and bird-watching walks are a great way to see Forrest. Afterwards you can stop in at the Forrest General Store to sample outstanding seasonal produce and take home your own Forrest and Otways souvenirs.
